Senator McKnight highlighted the positive impact cursive writing has on students in terms of reading comprehension, critical thinking, and fine motor skills. The roundtable focused on three key areas: the health and cognitive benefits of cursive reading and writing, the importance of achieving literacy by third grade, and strategies for reintegrating cursive writing instruction into New Jersey schools.
